If You’re Not Scared, You’re Not Living…

“If you’re not scared, you’re not living”...

I heard this recently whilst reading a book, well, listening to it as I haven’t been able to read a physical book since getting my puppy, Milo almost 7 months ago!

At first, I thought it was quite morbid and dismissed it, but I found myself pausing my audiobook to reflect on what I’d heard and realised it resonated with me and, I wonder, how much does this idea resonate with you?

Most of the things I do, I do whilst feeling a little scared or anxious. I often talk myself out of going places, joining in and yes, generally living.

Often, the best things happen when we leave our comfort zones and when we really think about it, how comforting are our comfort zones? Because when I finally convince myself to leave mine, I almost always feel free and happy; my ‘comfort’ zone can leave me feeling stuck and miserable.

Perhaps you’re thinking I might like to start doing some of those scary things and live more too, but you’re unsure how. Maybe you’re a little like me and feel stuck in your comfort zone, that’s ok, It’s perfectly human to need some support with exploring these parts of yourself and if this sounds like something you’d like to do, you can contact me by clicking here.
