Will Counselling Help me?

Trying to decide whether or not you want to speak with a stranger about your personal problems can seem daunting to say the least but one of the most helpful things about counselling is that it offers you the space to speak to an impartial person who has nothing to do with the things you want to talk about and for a lot of people, that can be a relief.

Counselling offers you a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings without worrying about what your friends or family might think or say. Sometimes when we try to confide in our loved ones, we end up holding things back to spare their feelings, and that can be exhausting!

Counselling can help you to:

  •  Make sense of difficult or confusing situations or events

  •  Overcome or process trauma.

  •  Understand and Increase self-esteem and confidence.

  •  Manage anxiety and/or low mood/depression.

  •  Work through life transitions.

This is just a short list of some of the ways counselling might be helpful to you, if you would like any support or just to have a chat to see whether counselling might be something you could benefit from you can email me at: jodiemccormack1011@hotmail.com or fill out an enquiry form on the website.
